Just got it today--2003 Trek 5200 with Postal color scheme. My first road bike. I love it!

I don't have any pics, but it looks the same as this one below. Had to get the triple to spare my knees. Speedplay X2 pedals and Sidi G4 shoes.

I love it! I love it! I love it!
Awesome. Congrats! nmfbg111

I'm jealous. You got a sweet riding bike. I tested one last weekend and couldn't believed the 5900 weight was 16lbs for the 62cm. I found one shop selling the 5200 for $2499. This bike is at my lowend choice when I get a new bike next year.

If you do any upgrades you should be able to get it lighter. What size did you get? How long did it take you to get it?

I haven't hit the board here much the past four months so I'm behind on some of the current events.

The local LBS is having a sale and I got it for $2277. It's a size 60. It took me almost 8 months to get it--I busted my knee last March and have been rehabbing it since, and only now getting to the point where I felt my knee was strong enough to put this beauty to good use. Fortunately I'm in California so i'll be able to ride it thru the winter.
Did you ditch the reflectors? (nm)stan_b

The front and rear reflectors are already in the trash (I never ride at night).
But, how do I keep the wheels balanced if I take off the side reflectors?
I've got the same frame - it's an awesome ride!James OCLV

I bulit up the frameset with Dura-Ace, and it's the best riding bike I've ever had!
That mustve been painful; hope the wife is recovering well! nmSteve_0

I recently got an older version of the OCLV frame with an '01 DA gruppo and Vector Pros. Only 400 miles on it so far and few to happen this winter. It's an unbelievably comfortable and fast ride and so responsive. The gruppo is soooo nice - light, strong, responsive and precise - shifts perfectly, brakes perfectly every time, no drama, no uncertainty. For me there's nothing close in performance for the money. It's got much more potential than I can realize. I'm sure you'll like yours as much as I like mine. Congrats.
