Minoura Mag Trainer - socket drop-out woes!JR007

My Fuji Cross has Ritchey socket drop-outs, and my Mag Trainer wants to crush them! There's not enough room between the drop-out and the wheel nut for the trainer hubs to fit, so they compress on the top of the drop-out. Has anyone experienced this and found a way to get around it? T.I.A

Try using a QR from a MTB with a 135mm spacing setup. This may leave some room to install spacers (I have used washers, since in a trainer you don't have to worry as much about having the serrations on the QR contact the dropouts as if you were on the road with it) under the QR on each end to allow the trainer to not hit the dropouts. Or, if the 135mm still does not leave enough room, simply remove the axle on a cheap old skewer, and make a longer one that will allow you to put spacers under each end of the QR, between it and the dropout.
