How do you want the answer?

Gear inches? (53/19)x27 gives you the approximate gear inches

Rollout? Best way to do this is to measure it. Or you could do (53/19)x pi x 27. Or measure the actual diameter of your wheel and substitute that for 27.

In my experience, people who cannot figure out gear ratios are not likely to know the value of pi.

There is something called "meters development", and that's what he's looking for. There is a good explanation elswhere in sheldon's site. Gear inches is different.
