How do you warm up for a 10-15 mile TT? Trainer or road?How much time above,in,& below LT heart rate?

I would be ready to hit your max effort right off the line. Alot of time can be made in the first 30 seconds. Therefore, be at the start very warm.

For a 25 minute TT, I would warm up for 25 minutes. Do a few race-level intervals, spin them down. But, I'd defer to a more experienced TT'er with better advice!

I'm not a coach, I've done quite a few TT's though and would suggest a basic warm-up on a trainer. By that I mean start easy until you break a sweat then increase intensity to a work level and back off again. Maybe get off the bike and stretch and then get back on and work different levels of intervals lasting a couple minutes at a time. The final intervals will be near LT and maybe a short sprint and then slow it down before getting off and starting the race. You might spend at least a half hour on the trainer before your TT.

Pretty much the same way I'd warm up for a crit. I found that the better shape I was in, the longer the warm up I'd need. Slowly increase speed to where you're VERY comfortable doing some high-speed jumps. Then settle into a steady state effort. Throw in one more jump about 8-10 minutes before your start. Get to the line about 2 minutes before your start.

Per another post, a half hour warmup for a half hour TT is pretty reasonable. Ride easy for most of that time. Shortly before the TT start time, you want to do a couple of 60-90 second hard jumps (like you were starting the TT) with recovery in between. Finish these 3-5 minutes before your start time. This prepares your system for a fast start, which can make a big difference on your time. The general guide is to arrive at the start still sweating, but not out of breath.
