Hey Greg,

I was just thinking perhaps you could do a pol on how many people here on RBR use Power Meters and you could set up a forum on Power so we could discuss optimal cadences,power,weight, wheels etc and get some analytical discussion going. View eachothers power graphs etc. What do you think? It could apply to TTs, Crits, Road races as well as track. It would be very ineresting and you know there are some people here who could benefit. Thanks and hope Cali is treating everyone well.

topica already has a big wattage list. You've seen the posts on here. Very few people on this forum race at the level you'd actually want to get real training advice from.

Hiya Str8dum...... good to hear from you.... I agree but unlike topica there are alot of newbies here and I think it could educate some and be interesting. Topica, as versatile as it is, does lack a few things. For instance I would be interested in seeing different power outputs for a cat 4 vs a cat3 vs a cat2 on a cp30 or cp60 even. Anyway, I sill think its a good idea and makes the understanding of power meters available more to forums like rbr. I would love to see more power meters at races, wouldnt you

is a SRM on my bike for next year. I still think that power meters have a ways to go until they are mainstream like HR mons. You really dont see people exhanging HR mon graphs. Same would be true with a power meter. I think the only place that useful power comparisons could be drawn would be in TTs. So few people have SRMS that even if there was a board, no one would have any comparative data. Wattage comparisons during a race are useless unless you won. Drafting and coasting arent real productive #'s.

In a perfect world, ya i'd like heads up power meters at my spin classes and power meters on the bikes of teh guys that beat me in TTs. Then i could determine if they are stronger or more aero or both.
