My own preference is "Periodization Training for Sports". It has a number of sport-specific weight training progressions in it. However, be aware that Bompa's weight training programs, especially the muscular endurance component, are geared to the elite athlete and are, by current thinking, probably too strenuous, especially when combined with on-bike work. Friel uses the Bompa template but tones it down quite a bit. Regardless, his work is a must-read for anyone interested in understanding the concept of periodization.
