|Advice on bike cleaning after wet, salty rides.||Alex-in-Evanston|

|I got my dream bike two months ago, and it's lugged steel. I was out this past weekend in drizzly/snowy conditions, and it dawns on me that the municipalities I was riding through had salted. My typical modus with the old bike (not steel) was to let the crud dry, wipe down and don't worry about it. Should I change my routine? Wash in soapy clean water immediately?
Any advice is appreciated.
|Yes, clean it right away (if you like your bike). nm||MB1|

|I ride at the beach and my bike gets a film of sea salt on it by the end of my ride. Always wash it off asap. I also wipe it down with Pedro's Bike Lust when I'm done. That stuff helps keep it clean and makes the salt and crud fall right off when I spray it down.|| |
