Have you checked out some of the team wear from www.probikekit.co.uk? Some very nice winter weight clothing at very reasonable prices - and only $7.50 shipping from the UK!

I just ordered a few myself.
This Burley Jacket is my favorite.MB1

Really well ventilated with big pit zips, lots of reflective stripes and really waterproof. I use it in all weather below 60 degrees or so.

Don't you get hot in those plastic jackets?pmf1

I have an expensive one from Pearl Izumi and it cooks me. Its fairly thick material, kinda resembles Gore-Tex. Its got pit zips and a draft flap and I still get really sweaty arms in it. It would be perfect if the arms had a mesh strip going down the inside. I can only wear the thing if the temp is below 30.

Here is my fav. Notice that there is no panel on the arms or the back. I wear this jacket in almost all conditions.

It is not a plastic jacket and is very, very well vented.MB1

The best I have ever used or seen. Think about it, those folks in Oregon ought to know how to make a great rain jacket.
what is it made of?pmf1

Is it ventilated in the arms? Just curious, not meaning to put down your jacket. I'd love to have a rain jacket that has some ventilation in the arms.

ad says zippered arms ... what does that mean? I can't tell from the picture. Can you unzip the inside of the arms? Its my only criticism of shells are that my arms get too hot.
18" 2 way zipper under each armMB1

and a 2 way front zipper plus chest pockets that can be opened for more venting. It has a back flap and a rear pocket that can be left open to vent. The ends of the sleeves are pretty large and can be closed with velcro or left open for yet more venting.

I think the thing is great.
Thankspmf1

I think you've talked me into a new jacket. I like my Pearl Izumi except for the arms. For that reason, I rarely wear it.

The price is certianly reasonable. Do they run large, small, or right on?
And now for the test ...pmf1

Ordered one from Lickton bikes yesterday. I can't see how it will be nicer than my Boure jacket, but you never know until you try.
thanksMJ

I've been looking for a jacket for a while - glad I've procrastinated - the Burley is exactly what I need for rainy London town and further afield - totally waterproof, vented, reflective stripping
