Base Training....how many hours?(6 posts)

Base Training....how many hours?K-Man

Just a "general" question on time spent on base training miles. How may hours does everyone generally spend on base mile training prior to adding some intensity? Last year I did around 50/55 hours before starting intensity training. Too much, too little, just right????

Thanks
KMan
Just right if you are riding 400 hours/year (a la Friel)..NMSpunout

I don't base, I'm fortunate as I can ride all year long (except for a few rain days here and there). 12-15 hours a week/6 days a week, whatever that adds up to, math is not my best subject...I just kick up the intensity during the summer, back off during the winter, works for me...I like to keep it simple...
You can never do enough base work. (nm)cyclequip
