|A general guideline.
Take your weight X 12 to 15( varies on body type,etc....). That is the calories per day you need to maintain your weight(assuming no excercise).
For every pound you want to lose, you need to burn 3500 calories.

|Most importantly how much you exercise. Round numbers, a sedentary person burns their weight times 10 in calories per day (1650 for you). A lot depends on personal metabolism variations that we can't possibly know. If you're exercising, you not only burn the calories of exercise but get a little more burn for a few hours after a workout. If you want to get down to 165, you're going to need a total deficit of 105,000 calories. The fastest you can safely lose weight is 2 lbs per week (7000 calories) and that means a 1000 calorie per day deficit, which means you'll be pretty hungry for 15 weeks minimum.|| |
