|My wife decided we should go to Asheville right before Christmas. Sounds good to me. What can I expect for weather/road conditions? Should I bring a road or mtn bike? Any regular rides? Thanks in advance for any info.|

|bring lots of clothes! daytime highs will be chilly (in the 40's) and nights will be down right cold.
right now the trails in that area are wet & leafy though in another month the leaves should not be as much of a factor. if the rain continues at the rate it's been going you can expect some sloppy wet trails with snow in the higher elevations.
road conditions should be good, but chilly....
rt - heading up to Pisgah with the mtb this weekend

|I still have the scars on my right knee from going down this last July. Love bein' a flatlander in the mountains.
Why not take 'em both; that's what I usually do. Good riding in Bent Creek, just outside of town, and several stores have a road-riding-in-Asheville book that maps out several routes.

|The weather wont be that bad. Email me and I will give you all the info you need. I can tell you where to go and when to meet group rides. If you want I will even take you out so you dont have to worry about getting lost. My long training weeks start Dec 1st and average 16-20 hours a week so It will be nice to have the company. Bring any bike you want... or both... we have group rides for mtn and road all week

|and you said your name wasnt Jeremy Patrisi. LOL!
16-20 hrs a week starting dec 1? A lil early but good luck. You do the rides with Heath, Jamie, Joey, or Andy from Cane Creek Subaru? Those guys are my new teammates for 2003.
