replacement seatpost binder bolt - does it have to be campy?Fez

last time i broke a campy seatpost bolt, i had to special order a new one. couldn't ride for days. do shops stock these bolts? does it have to be campy? are all seatpost bolts one universal size?

it is for a litespeed. too loose, the post slips, too tight, the bolt breaks. aargh!

and yes, i plan on getting more than 1 replacement.

There are a couple of lengths, but if you have a Campy bolt, it's likely a standard length part. Most shops with good road sections stock these, and no, it doesn't have to be Campy.

I carry a spare in my saddlebag against the possibility of breakage--came in handy last week when I had to pull the post for something and broke the bolt (an old, non-Campy model) while putting it back...

I prefer the Sugino (sp?) over the Campy as I have had the Campy bolts break rather easily but not the others.
