Yourbikesource - worth the chanceB2
Nov 7, 2002 5:50 PM
I notice that yourbikesource is selling a fair amount bike components on ebay. Lately they've had some campy cassettes go for a fairly reasonable price. I seem to remember some negative feedback about them in the past on this site. The money order only payment terms sound a bit fishy. Has anyone had any dealings with them recently and how did it work out?

Thanks,
Bryan

I bought some Ksyrium Elites from them for a very good price. Shipping was a bit pricey, and it took them waaaaaaaaaaaay too long to ship from receipt of payment. Something like 12 days from receipt of payment until item shipped (not until arrival).

I got what I had agreed to buy, just took too long to get it.

I found them really good and really fast. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat.

I bought my Selle Italia saddle from them. I had no problems. HOWEVER, if you check their feedback, they have had some problems. They used BidPay at one point which fouled up the communication lines between receiving and shipping. I believe if you follow their payment instructions to a "T" and know EXACTLY what you are bidding on, your chances of a positive transaction greatly increase. If you are the least bit hesitant, don't bid. It's your money and your time if things do get ugly with them.
