weather/riding question about ColoradoDuane Gran

My girlfriend is travelling to Colorado (Breckinridge, mt summit area) and is debating bringing her bike. We heard that it is already snowing though. Could someone living there presently tell me if she should bring the bike? Since it costs a bit to take the bike on the plane we want to be sure.

Incidentally, if you know of cool bike shops that rent decent road bikes this may be an alternative.

Our mountains received quite a pile of new snow in the last week or so, and its gotten VERY cold. Loveleand ski area is already open, with others to open this coming weekend. Roads will be full of gravel, and I don't know if the bike paths are kept plowed once the snow starts. Personally, I would leave the road bike at home and rent a mtn bike if its warm enough to ride once she arrives.

but Breck is bound to be snowy. I'd leave the bike at home and bring some skis.
