They're also building a brand new world-class indoor velodrome - the only one in the states. Finally, those sad sacks at Kissena will get the venue they deserve. If you saw the article in Bicycling you know what I'm talking about. Don't know if I'll be around in ten years but the Olympic village and the new track will be between a mile and a mile 1/2 from my apartment here in Brooklyn.

Hope they build it tres soon so I can give it a whirl before I'm too old and fat.

in Staten Island. Of all the scenic places in this City that could serve as a backdrop for a road course and they propose St. George - the slums of Staten Island?

Staten Island is less than scenic but maybe it's because Staten Island is the only place in the 5 boroughs that have any hills. Just a guess. The NYC Bike Championships was a yawner because it was just a large flat crit. Shoulda been better.
