T Mobile?ClydeTri

Anybody see the new tv advertisements for T Mobile? Something to do with communications. The T looks just like the Telekom T, even the same magenta colour. Just curious, if owned by Deutche Telekom, maybe we should all boycott it? YOu know..support the Posties!
They are one and the same company now. nmEager Beagle

Yes, T Mobile was once Voice Stream Wireless, but was bought out by Deutche Telekom on May 31 of this year..so, all you Voice Stream Wireless , now T Mobile, users, you are supporting the Deutsche Telekom team! YOu unpatriotic guys! :~)

DT actually bought Voicestream in July, 2000, but didn't re-brand it as T-Mobile (which will be a global brand) until this past Spring.

You're right. I just dropped their service, but not for that reason.

T Mobile is owned by Deutsche Telekom. I disagree about your suggestion to boycott -- I think that any company that sponsors a cycling team should be rewarded with our business rather than deprived of it if the company provides a good product. When I was changing cell phones in the Spring, I looked into T Mobile. At that time, the T Mobile network was not large as that of other providers. But, if everything were equal, I would go with T Mobile.

BTW: Even though I support the Posties, I also am an Erik Zabel fan and have a Deutsche Telekom kit. So, take my comments with a grain of salt.

I have been planning to stop in and see about their coverage here in Lance Central (I live in Austin). Anyway their service will work for me when I cross the pond as long as I get the right phone.....

T-Mobile.. what can I say? Great service, good pricing, coverage seems to be good (I travel a lot) and when I go to the Tour I can use my phone. Unlike NOTEL (nextel) and others. Plus the spokesmodel is half bad either, unlike Howie and the bimbo (whoever she is).
Support all sponsors/I'd have to support KZJ no matter what...RTC

Here I was thinking that this thread was going to make it w/o mentioning Katherine Zeta Jones "plugging" the phones. We're losing our edge gang. My Nortel is going soon, and you can bet I'll be looking at my new carrier much closer.

KZJ is all that. Her role in that Bond film got my attention. That black "cat burglar" outfit did it for me!

I've been cheering since Telekom bought out Voicestream... I'm still waiting for Telekom to develop T-Mobile's website to something somewhat similar to the Telekom website...or atleast a fanshop anyway. BTW the CEO of Telekom did catch an awful lot of flak for buying out Voicestream...seen as buying up a company with a miniscule market share and not much hope of success. It sure would be nice to see alot more cyclists supporting T-Mobile and the USA Women's Road Racing team...Mari Holden, Amber Neben, and next year a real shot at making a big mark on the women's field considering the loss of key talent from Saturn...
