|I am in the process of collecting some cool bike quotes for my frame decal project. Do you think it's a good idea to print some of these quotes on the TT? Some of the quotes that come to mind are,
"It never gets easier, you just go faster." Greg Lemond
"It's not about the bike." LA's book
Anymore great quotes from the likes of GL, LA, Merckx, etc...?
I am also looking for cool bike artworks. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

|Lemond on what it felt like wearing the Maillot Jaune: "It's like winning the Superbowl every day". I thought it was a great way of expressing it in a way the average American would understand!
Anquetil: "On the road, I want to be the boss."
This other one isn't likely what you're looking for, but a anonymous Indurain contemporary said, "I came in second to Indurain. That's as good as winning."
One more. Ocana's understandably cautious enthusiasm in 1971 after beating Merckx soundly on the Puy de Dome: "With this devil Merckx, anything is possible".
PS. I'm on a roll here - this one's a beauty: Poulidor in 1970, on Merckx: "Everyday he sets up the guillotine, and then places our head on the block"

|This well known quote from Merckx when he was asked how to be a better rider: "Ride lots."
My favorite is from Hinault: "As long as I breath, I attack." I wish I could live up to it!

|Hinault sure showed that it wasn't just talk when he attacked the sh!t out of Lemond in 1986. With "support" like that, who needs competitors!|

|I am also thinking of putting "H.G. Wells" decals on the downtube and seatube. On the top tube, I will have "The Time Machine" decals.
HG Wells was an avid cyclist and he had said lots of stuff on bicycles. I figured I can dig up a quote from him about bikes and slap it on the frame too. It was said that he visioned the time machine based on a bike. Anyone know where I can get a signation of HG Wells online?
What do you guys think of this idea?

"For city bicycling to catch on we need a revolution in our society's infrastructure. Right now a city rider needs to be a road warrior, and the bike needs to be cheap and ugly so it won't get stolen. That's not a bike friendly culture." Gary Fisher

All bicycles weigh fifty pounds. A thirty-pound bicycle needs a twenty-pound lock. A forty-pound bicycle needs a ten-pound lock. A fifty-pound bicycle doesn't need a lock.

What do you call a cyclist who doesn't wear a helmet? An organ donor. David Perr
I suppose that was what attracted me to the bicycle right from the start. It is not so much a way of getting somewhere as it is a setting for randomness; it makes every journey an unorganized tour.
