Which jerseys work for skinny guys?(9 posts)

Which jerseys work for skinny guys?Matno

I know this topic has been brought up in the past, but I searched the archives and didn't find much in the way of recommendations. I did find some ridiculous rants from 170lb guys who claim they are "skinny" and have a hard time finding jerseys. (6'1" and 170 is NOT skinny). I am 5'11" and weigh between 135 and 140 (clothed). That's skinny... :)

Anyway, does anyone know of any jerseys that are specifically made to fit tightly around the waist/stomach area? I usually wear a medium, which is almost too tight across the shoulders, but loose around the belly. I wouldn't complain except that I notice a huge difference in wind resistance on my ocassional shirtless ride. (Only when nobody else is around and it's hot).

(I guess I could wear bib shorts OVER my jersey...ugh!)

Try something Italian. I'm exactly your height (and used to be your weight 10 yrs ago!). Santini, Biemme, Nalini etc. they run really small.
Ditto Italian medium, stay away from U.S. 'club' fit (nm)Spunout

Stay away from American fit jerseys. They are, generally, going to be loose fitting. That means stay away from Giordana Super-Fit if you are looking at that brand.

I find medium pro-fit jerseys to fit me best. Unfortunately I can't afford them! Spending $90-$120 on a jersey is a bit out of my reach at the moment.

I can't fit into any of the Castelli jerseys. They are too tight across the upper body for me, so they might work.

My team's Voler medium fits me more snugly than any of my other jerseys.

I'm 6'' and 155lbs, and use Voler stuff.

Only thing that fits me snug is a large, RACE CUT.
Like someone said, forget the club cut.. it should be renamed GUT CUT.

I have the same problem. I'm a little over 6'1", weigh ~145lbs, and built like a popsicle stick. I like the Castelli Simple full-zip jerseys in size small. I have one Louis Garneau size small that I picked up at the 3 State/3 Mountain century in Chattanooga this spring that fits well, but is a little short. I tried a couple of Nalini jerseys a couple of years ago, size large as recommended, and they are a little loser than I like.

i have come closest to a good fit with the Castelli's, although i find that to get them to fit me in around the chest and waist, the sleeves become super short, but i live with that cause i'd rather have a jersey fit my body. but i would agree the full zip fits my torso as it should. consider it almost a sleeveless. just for reference i'm about 5 10 and weigh around 145, and there is lack of upper body girth.
