about 15 miles into it I'm coming into the middle of Chelmsford (MA) and a guy doing some yard work looks up at me with my full-on layered roadie look and says "you're nuts!" And what was my brilliant reply? "Yrrhmmfm righmmmfft!" (Unintelligible because no one can hear you or much less understand you under a balaclava)

people often think i'm intoxicated, or mentally deficientJS Haiku Shop

when speaking after riding in lower temps. not that i'm not mentally deficient, and at times intoxicated, but after (1) riding in muy cold weather, and (2) not speaking for several hours, your mouth does strange things when you ask it to make words.
That was one righteous comeback...Crankist

...and it's likely that he won't trifle with you next time around. I have the same problem, but it's always with a mouthful of baclava, like right now.

I grew up in Billerica and remember those cold rides. However, I'm now in warm San Diego. When I ride at lunch time today it will be about 65 degrees.

Do you ever ride into Concord center? When I lived back east that was a great place to ride through. There were always other cyclist to hook up with.

Keep warm,
