Used to do and teach a little neurophysiology.

Left it all behind to go over to the dark side (science and biotech law).

Actually not even close. I am a med student with a JD, but I am no scientist. Much more of a mechanic. Hopefully I can get into a surgical residency so I don't have to deal with all that medicine mumbo jumbo. Give me some tools, and I'll do my job... :)

MD/PhD, senior faculty at a med school near the 45th parallel. Officially, I spend 80% of my time in my lab (molecular genetics) and 20% of my time in the clinic (clinical genetics.) (Time spent writing grants, teaching grad and med students, etc. is all unofficial and off the books.) Despite all of this I've managed to get in 2000+ miles this year on my road bike.

sorry ---- life imitated art

that a scientist thread had followed such a geometric and repetative subject line perhaps didnt surprise me as much as intrigued me.

perhaps the coolest thing i have seen here for quite some time (so of course i had to break it).

ciao
