I see eveywhere they can be adjusted up to 60mm, but can it achieve a position with no setback? I need a post with no setback to replace my thompson, and this is the only one besides the syncros and LP composites I have found. I like Look products, and these seem to be a good deal on ebay.

The seatpost has 3 holes for the mounting bolt. The most forward hole is zero setback.

OK, I don't think the Look will allow placement of the clamp directly centered over the seatpost. There are three holes in the post. The front-most setting will be the closest, but it is probably a cm or two behind center. You can probably end up with the same net result by sliding the saddle forward.

The Look is designed to be back, way back, and way way back. The post ends up looking a bit odd if you use the front-most setting- FWIW. The saddle looks most "centered" on the post when it is set as far BACK as possible... which is a bit baffling.

Don't mean to disagree but I just went in the garage and looked at mine. The forward hole is slightly setback but this position puts the clamp directly inline with the seatpost.

I'll take your word for it... seemed to me that the hole was set back a bit further than that to account for the clamp base. Still, I think it looks a bit odd when in that position... like the post has a tail.

I have one and use it in the forward position. If it isn't without setback, it is very close. I like the way it looks in any position.

They have a pretty large fore and aft adjustment range.

Be careful not to strip the bolt on the clamp. Although it is supposed to be ti, I swear mine was aluminium. I had a hell of a time getting a new one. Finally, I called Veltec directly and they made me a dealer for a day and sold me one.

Personally, I don't think this post is such a great deal for $160. Its a bit on the short side.

It does have lots of adjustment and looks cool.
