I suscribe to several mountain bike magazines. It seems that there is nothing out there for the raod cyclist. Bicycling doesn't count, it's lame. Velonews and others are baised to the sport of racing not riding, I prefer technical articles and reviews. Am I missing some publication out there?

they're about (mostly European) racing, as well. Both have more technical information than Bicycling, and nicer pictures, but they're still mostly racing mag's (with some fitness, nutrition, and tactical racing stuff, as well). A kind of interesting mag that is somewhat less involved with racing is the British mag Cycling Plus. It has more and better reviews than Bicycling, including many comparison reviews of clothing. I subscribed for a year, but ultimately dropped the subscription in favor of the other mag's, because I got a bit tired of Cycling Plus's emphasis on British randonneering (sp?) and their new-age nutrition stuff. Also, many of the reviews focussed on stuff that isn't even available in the States. Also, became more interested in racing. Cycling Plus's racing coverage was very Anglo-centric (what David Millar ate for breakfast and burped up and why).
