Last sunday 7000 bike riders went around the bay that Melbourne is located on.

Half go each way and are ferried across at the half-way point by a a number of ferries.

I think this is the 10th year running.

My first time .... and first century.

Ride went really really well. Organised by our local state bicyling organisation (Bicycling Victoria) who ROCK bigtime !!!! There were vounteers at all major intersections, rest stops at every 50 kms or so, bands, lunch etc.

Fantastic day. Hope to do it again next year.

Everyone is welcome ... but book early. This ride maxed out at 7000 (the number of available berths on ferries).

cya.

goodonya craig! I did it last year for the first time and felt it was a good day, although i was a bit tired at the end. I never got there this year to do it. Perhaps you should try coming to canberra one time for the equivalent. Fitz's Challenge! Now THAT's a ride!

Have you got details of this? Would be interested in heading down to Canberra for it.
