i found a good deal on cxp 23 wheels with 105. can't find much technical info on these and was wondering if they were any good. where does the model stand compared to the cxp 33 and open pros

i have bladed alex 320s on my bike now . . . no race wheels yet. just thought i'd consider this offer. (it'd just be like a second pair of running shoes, right?)

thanks

My own experience with these same wheels has been bad. They cannot compare to the CXP33 or OPs. I don't know how much they want for them, but call Excel Sports and get a price on 105/OPs or CXP33s. I think they can be competitive.

These rims are not as durable as they should be for their weight, the valve hole on the inner wall was drilled too big on the pair I had and needed about 2-3 layers of rimstrip around it to keep from puncturing the tube. Also the pair I had were poorly build (from specialized) and at 150# I kept breaking spokes. Traded them in on some race lites, no problems yet with 1500 mi.
