I have to buy a new bike and its between these two. my fear is the fuji alluminum frame is not as stiff as the renolds steal in the victory. I have already owned the "99" version of the victory and loved it, but it was stolen
so i only know how the victory feels and I like that feel. I need to know how the fuji team feels. I dont like the reviews on the fuji team because they say the frame flexes I need to know more. about the fuji
Im 5' 6.5"
165lb to 180lb, Yes im fat more than half the time
My ride is the 100 mile MS bike tour in NY
Improtance is : durability, feel, climbes , all weather riding

I've always thought that Fuji made a pretty fair bike. However, I think that particular one is a little flexy. Fuji also makes an 853 bike, so that might be worth looking into. If I'd have known that bike was out there I would have added it to my "short list" before buying my bike. On the other hand, I think the Fuji 853 bike (can't recall its actual name) is a more traditional geometry whereas the Ironhorse has larger diameter top and down tubes. So, not knowing anything else, the Ironhorse may be stiffer.

BTW - The bike I did recently buy was the 2002 Ironhorse Victory. So far, I'm very happy with it. It handles really well compared to my old bike. The only complaint I would make is that the Hutchison (sp?) tires were a little fragile. After about 500 miles, I wound up putting on a set of Continental GP3000's and they seem to be much better.

I hope this is of some help.
