front der. cable rubs the frame. any ideas?

can a new guide be screwed in?
Yes, mine is screwed and is adjustable (see below) NMSpunout

Does it look like it would still rub if the cable guide were positioned exactly in the middle of the frame? If so, you might try moving the cable guide a little toward the drive side of the bicycle. I've seen cable guides that had an oval hole for the mounting screw so they could be moved from side to side. You might be able to elongate yours to do the same thing.

Had the same problem with Klein (although my cable even rubbed in the center position due to the beefy welds).

Possible solutions

1: Try a Cannondale cable guide (unfortunately I didn't succeed in getting one without a bike)

2: Use a piece of transparent plastic liner (I used a residual piece from a Gore brake cable set, the liner that comes with a Shimano V-brake pipe (see inside) should also do)
