bianchi for me?kmc

I have a dilemma. I recently won a Bianchi EV4 frame and fork and am awaiting its arrival. I recently purchased a Schwinn Fastback and really like the bike. Should I swap the parts over or sell the Bianchi? From what I can gather, the EV4 seems to be a race-specific bike. I do not race so this is not important to me and really cannot justify two bikes. Comfort is somewhat important, but my Fastback is a compact Aluminum frame and feels fine on the road.

Any insight???

If it were me and I was happy with my current bike, I would just sell the Bianchi frame and fork. Or go to a Bianchi dealer and test ride the bike you won and see if you notice a difference in the handling. Who knows, you might go WOW and want to build the bike up.
sell it to me...Iwannapodiumgirl

I just is a 61. Looks like it fits like a 59. I am 6'1" with a 35" inseam. Check the bianchi site for full details.

I'd keep the EV4. I have an EV2 that has a real nice ride. The 61 cm frame should fit you pretty good. I'm 6'2" and have a 63 cm frame, and sometimes wish I had a 61 - on days that I don't feel as limber, the shorter top tube would be nice. Please note that my frame is a 2000 frame with traditional geometry, I think Bianchi went to sloping top tube in 2001/2002. I am quite pleased with the Bianchi, didn't think aluminum would be that comfortable on long rides.

Thanks for the input...I was hoping to get a bianchi owner to chip in! I am leaning toward keeping seems like a pretty nice frameset!

I too have an EV2 - the 2001 Mercatone Uno replica. It is the sloping geometry and I absolutely love it!

It is a 56, so lucky for you yours is too big.

I would keep the EV4, slap on Carbon Record and a nice pair of Neutrons and ride, ride like the wind.

Looks like the EV4 might stay in the garage. Thanks for coming clean...good to hear of so many satisfied EV2 owners. For some reason though, I cannot find any EV4 owners.....

Thanks again!!
