|I know that the 03's are out and the 01 and 02's usually go on closeout this time of year. I'm looking for a deal on either a frameset or complete bike of any these models. Also I hear that trek does not allow mail order. Anyone know of a shop that will do it?|

|w/Dura-Ace for $2100. The LBS has the frameset and said they'd build it up like an '02 5200(except subsitute the DA for Ultegra). I'd then have Shimano's top of the line components on an excellent frameset. Naturally I could upgrade the wheels, hbar, stem, seatpost, and saddle at a later date, but there wouldn't be any rush.
My only reservations are:
1.) I'm not crazy about the '01 USPS scheme. It is loud!
2.) I can probably get an '03 5200, w/the SLIGHTLY new geometries and new fork, for $2250(but it wouldn't have Dura-Ace!)
3.) I still really like the '03 C'dale R2000, as it is better spec'd(better wheels - SL's, hbar - 3TForgie, stem - 3TForgie, saddle-Ti railed Fizik). The only Cannondale part is the seatpost. Again though...this bike is spec'd w/Ultegra and has a DA rear derailleaur. It also retails for $2400.
I really want to ride them back to back but few shops sell both C'dale & Trek.

|I bought an '01 5200 from Rider's Cycles in Vancouver around Christmas last year (<$2k, US). They were very easy to deal with and the bike's great.
