Anyone own or know who makes the roof-mounted bike rack for Saturns? I just bought a Saturn LW300 wagon, and I want to know if the Saturn rack is a decent rack. I have a Thule rack now, but the adapter parts to make it work on the LW300 cost significantly more than the entire Saturn rack!

The Saturn rack may be of lesser quality to begin with, and if you invest in it, you are prob limited in whatever accessories Saturn will offer.

Don't know why you say the Thule will cost more to adapt to the Saturn. Thule offers various options. Sometimes the Thule crossbars go on the factory side rails. Sometimes the Thule bike or ski attachment goes directly on the Saturn crossbars. If you stick with Thule, you won't be limited to whatever Saturn offers. So you can put Thule bike, kayak, ski, box attachments.

...and i used the same (non-saturn badged) model for 3 years with few problems. however, i bought it used from a guy in the NW US. at 3+ years the rubberized covers on the feet were peeling off (rusted clamps) and the self-centering rear load bar was no longer self-centering.

on a + note, they're solidly made (not flimsy), and can be removed as a whole unit from the vehicle (and reinstalled) in less than 5 minutes, once setup for the vehicle.

will i buy another? i probably won't buy another *roof* rack.

YMMV.
