Does anyone know of any organised road riding holidays in the USA, as I live in the UK an have heard that there is some wonderful riding to be had in the US. Unfortunately the only companies I can find for road cycling holidays seem to do trips to Europe....
there's Adventure Cycling Association...Lon Norder

I've never been on one of their tours, though.

Check out some nice trips suited to either hard core or recrestional riding, A+ lodgings and they provide the bike. A 5200 in the case of performance orientated tours.

You might be better off selecting a week long tour. I've done 3 of them (ride the rockies, pedal pennslyvania and bike virginia). They all involve lots of riding every day and typically camping at night (although I usually arrange hotel rooms). They haul your luggage and arrange for food. There's also pick-ups and drop-offs at the airports.

There are tons of others. RAGBRAI is one I've always wanted to try . Cycle across Maryland is another nearby to me I want to do.

The BEST bike vacation I ever had by a long shot is one in Tuscany. If I won the lottery, the first thing I'd do after quitting my job would be to do this again --

Check out Vermont Bicyle Tours thay have tours worldwide and in many different parts of the U.S and Canada. I have never been on one but would love to do the one in Salzberg, Austria. I visited there once and it is a magnificent place just wih I had my bike with me.
