How do you think road sprinters would fair sprinting on the track? There has always been a rumour floating around that Cipo might take to the track but it'd be in the pursuit.

I'm sure they'd do fine in a points race (I think Lombardi was the gold medalist several Olympics ago), but they'd probably get smoked in the pure sprints unless they bulked up. Any world class track (pure) sprinters ever gone to the road with any success?

I think a road sprinter in a pure sprint track event would fare about as well as a track sprinter does on the road, which is to say, not a disaster, but not very well. In both cases, the athletic requirement is similar, but the nuances that differentiate champions from the average pro are different. So, I think their athleticism could keep them in the race, but the X factors would keep them from winning very much.
