I have never imported any items to US. I am planning to import some bicycle related items and was wondering How and Where will I pay the customs? --thanks--Utpal

the duty owed, if any. DHL, USPS and, I assume, all others will accept a personal check. It is not always collected. I have ordered from Total Cycling, Square Deals and other international suppliers about ten times in all over the past six years. Five of those (wheels, frames, bikes, etc.) involved duty. Nonetheless, U.S. Customs has overlooked the charge two of the five, for reasons unknown to me, and the delivery company has not accepted my proffer of payment.

In case you haven't seem it, TC has info about customs duties pertinent to cycling goods. You can also go to the official U.S. site.
