|How warm are these things with the 8oz lycra and with no fleece,Roubaix or whatever?|

|they work fine down to about 40 degrees, I usually don't ride if it is cooler than that. I wear the knickers all winter, and find no advantage of tights. Voler is good stuff.|

|They are nice for cool weather... down into the mid- or low-40's for me. For colder weather, like sub-40's dry or 40's wet, I prefer full-length tights over shorts for the double coverage. Although I have a Roubaix-type jacket/jersey that I like alot, I don't have any Roubaix-type leg coverings. I think they'd be too warm for me... or I'm just a wimp and don't go out when it's really cold.|

|I won't need them for at least a few more weeks here in Texas, but enjoyed them last year. If I need more warmth, a pair of tights can be worn over them for an extra layer, which can be removed after it warms up.
I also have a pair of their bib shorts, which are very comfy and well made (except for some stitching along the edge of the chamois pad at the front top is loose).

|I use them down to the upper 30's. They are just a longer version of the bib shorts. No fleece or extra wind protection. I've already started using them this fall.
I've been really happy with the fit, quality, and price of the Voler stuff.

|Does anyone have a suggestion for fleece bib shorts with pad? I really like bib shorts with high back brace like the voler and PI but would like a roubaix fleece version.

|Check out www.bikejerseys.com. Last winter they had Santini Roubeux bibs for a good price. These are nice shorts that fit well.
I have 3 pairs of Voler bibs and really like the fit and the price. However, I am considering ordering another brand next time because I am not totally happy with the durability -- mine have been wearing out in about 12-15 months of riding.

|Mine are starting to "bleed" where the Voler lettering is. The white from the inside is starting to show through. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem with the Volers.

|Mine are wearing out just above the pad in the rear. I don't understand it because they don't rub the saddle or anything, but the fabric gets very thin and "see through."|

|My oldest pair is wearing thin in several places and starting to tear at the seems but they are 2.5 years old and i feel that i have gotten good use from them. They fit very well.
