Would it be a sin...Cheezhead

To put these wheels (AM Classic 420's):

On this frameset (2003 Look KG381i)?

As you can probably tell, i'm having some issues in deciding what wheelset to go with. I kinda want to stay away from Ksyriums. I was considering the Zipp 303 clinchers but heard they have some failure problems. Now I'm thinking about the 420's and maybe even the HED Alps?? I have slight weight-weenie syndrome, so I want to keep the wheels <= 1500g. Decisions decisions!! Any help would REALLY be appreciated!

...than yes don't buy them!

Seriously why would you NOT put the 420's on there? From what people are saying they are a pretty good wheelset. I'm looking forward to getting mine next week actually.

IMHO the Zipp and the Alps are in another price/performance range. I think the 420's are geared more towards the mavic and velocity markets.

Nice frame by the way! I would take the stickers off the 420's so they match the stealth 381i

Very light, very smooth. The stickers still look like sh%t in my opinion, but if you're pedaling fast, no one will notice. :-). Ordered some Ksyriums also (on sale at WCP) will test both and let you all know how they compare.

I'm especially interested in how they compare, as I'm looking at the Kyseriums and any good alternatives. Will you please post a thread on your impressions once you've ridden both?
Yup. nmMXL02

No problem. If you don't like the stickers, I don't either, take them off. Get the black hub and maybe even black spokes if you'd like as well.

FWIW, one of my rides is a Ciocc with DA and sometimes Rev-Xs! Gets a lot of looks and feels and lifts.
Campy Nucleons are all black too, or Eurus, nice choice. NMSpunout

I think set of the new reynolds wheels would look orgasmic on a new 486.
