Oct 10, 2002 7:43 AM | | Making plans for early next year I found a trail that connects to the C&O at Cumberland and continues to Pittsburgh. DC to Pittsburgh and back, sounds fun heh? To add to the fun I saw a notation on the map that Mt Davis was near the trail, Mt Davis is apparently the highest point in PA. Couldn't find anything roadbike-specific with a google search. Does anyone here know about riding Mt. Davis on road bike? is there is a road up it? Seems this could make a fine detour on the way to Pittsburgh.

Oct 10, 2002 11:06 AM | | Still have the route slips around somewhere. The ride included some of the rail-to-trail conversion you will be on. Pretty nice ride as I recall. Miss M mentioned that the route we took was about the easiest way up so there must be others.
