I am not disappointed with the bike, just wondering who would put Shimano-105 at that-on a pedigree bike like this.

Everything is exactly as desribed except for the mileage on this rig, I dont think there could possibly be 50 miles on this bike.

The seatpost is titanium, but it is Chorus, it will have to go. The wheelset is gone. No Ultegra on my ride. The crankset is Shimano 105 TRIPLE?!!! It is off the deck. The seat is way too loud, it will have to go. It has the Shimano Flight Deck Computer; it is not wireless, so it is gone. Pedals are shimano road pedals with the big cleats, and as such is incompatible with my shoes, they will have to go. I may switch out the fork for something lighter, but I will keep the headset. Brakes are gone. Both the derailleurs are gone as well.

It looks like the only thing I will be keeping is the frame itself. Record 10 2003 is the call for this one.

(tried the multiple thing, couldnt make it work)

Just for discussion, but what's wrong with 105?

Pretty bike - good choice!

new shimano 105 is probably as good as ultegra from a few years ago and better than ultegra of 5-7 years ago..they pass the technology down each time they upgrade

Very nice. What kind of tubing? It looks identical to one of my T6 Energy rides. BTW, I agree, Campy 10.

Just kidding...but you must be a criminal to put parts like that on a frame of that caliber!
nice colors!Smoothie

Very nice! Hard to get those colors in the US. I think I even like them more than than the red/blue team colors.

Congrats! Have fun building it up! Record 10 yummy!

Onespeed,
You wouldn't be interested in selling those 105 parts to me would you? I would like to help you offset the cost of Record 10 2003. I have a lovely Giant CFR2 frame that I was hoping to build up with either 8 speed DA, but newer 105 would be just as good. Email me if this is an acceptable propostition. pip@wam.umd.edu

I just built up a Giant TCR with Record Triple and as often happens, right now I need the money more than I need the bike. It's all Record but the cassette and rear derailleur which are Chorus. The wheels are Electrons (bought them at the same time as the gruppo)and are shod with Continental 3000's. The whole bike has maybe a little over 100 miles. The cranks are 170mm and the cassette is a 13-25. The front derailleur is of braze-on style. I'll sell you the gruppo with the wheels and tires for $1300. I will pay the shipping. If interested e-mail me at mranziani@hotmail.com or call me at 407-767-8324. Heck, I'll sell you the whole bike for $1800 (Never hurts to have an extra frame)

Very nice but I have an idea as to why he spec'ed it with 105:
he ran out of cash. I know my own stuff is largely cash limited.
Eventually I'll soup it up though.

So how many Merak's with Record 10 will this make?
Nice!!! What year is it???Ride-Fly

not '03, mine is '02 and it has an internal headset and lagreg diameter seattube, the colours are slightly different as well, the blue covers the toptube and the tops of the seattube and seatstays.
its a pity it doesn't have the blue forks to match.
