I recently installed this unit on my Record10 ride and it's fantastic...easy setup, easy installation....adjust the transducers (one on fork and one on non-drive chainstay, set tire-size setting and GO !!!! .....Not rocket science like the Flight Deck on my DA ride.....(Doesn't have gear indication, but my research indicates that the Ergobrain10 is junk.)

I'm glad to hear the V100 is working out well for you. I'm getting together a new bike with Record 10 and considered the Ergobrain 10. My research has somewhat made me lose interest in Ergobrain as well. I diden't like the idea of a bike full of wires and zipties either. A friend of mine has a V100 on his C40 with full Record. He doesn't have the cadence opting for HR instead. I'd prefer the wireless cadence and keep using My Polar for the heart rate functions. I never thought gear indicators were all that useful. Your cadence and your heartrate should be enough information besides the way you feel to determine what gear to use. I have to admit I do like the large display featured on the Ergobrain.
