So....if I get that $45 Tange Prestige frame from Chuck, and send it off to Bilenky for an S&S coupler retrofit job, I get a steel travel frame for 400 Franklins shipping included.

Thoughts?

A. (Any rough guesses on cost for putting in some horizontal dropouts? Class? Anyone? Rough guess?)

Seems a bit lop-sided spending more on the coupling than the frame... not that I'd want to hack up an expensive frame.

Seriously, I don't get it: a regular bike can break down into about a "luggage-sized" case.

Tange prestige should be a pretty good frame. Good tubing at least! even if a little bit older.

Peace
