Is the power output unit for the Polar S710 worth it?MXL02

I bought the S710 with the thought of purchasing the power unit at a later date, but heard some early rumblings about lack of accuracy...does anyone have enough experience with this thing to make a recommendation? Haven't found any recent postings on the topic.

When it arrived I couldnt wait to put it on my bike. As soon as I opened up the box my smile faded. The wires, calibration and numerous sensors just made my stomach turn.

I like things that are easy to install and things that I dont notice. I packed it back up and sent it back the same day marking the "return reason" box "too complicated."

That is the extent of my experience with it.

Seriously, I agree with you, in fact posters on other forums suggest putting it on the "second" ride, since it weighs .5 lbs, looks crappy, and is basically a training tool. Anyway, thanks for the input.
