I plan to use it for rain riding so I dont have to clean it much and also commuting. will the steel(bianchi and khs) rust and are cartridge bairings better for rain? I want to abuse it. Also the fuji comes with waterbottle mounts which I like. But the bianchi comes with spd which I'll have to buy anyway. I'm leaning toward the fuji. Infact my mind is made up, from now on the bianchi and khs are crap and the fuji is awsome.
I've got a '02 Fuji Track...SS_MB-7

I've got a '02 Fuji Track that I use for commuting, training, etc. The '02 has a steel frame/fork. I replaced the stock saddle, bars, stem and pedals because the stock saddle sucked, the stock bars were too wide, I wanted a lower-rise stem and I wanted SPDs. Oh, and I also added a front brake and a dummy lever. The water bottle mount is a nice addition.

Generally, I've been very happy with the Fuji. It was cheap (~$500CDN) and has little to go wrong with it. Although, the rear bearings are being somewhat tempermental lately.

I also looked at the Pista and KHS, but wanted to keep this fixed-gear cheap. I just could pass-up on the Fuji Track for $500CDN. The Bianchi would have been nearly double that.

why do you say the price wouldve doubled...the bearings are casette right? so I imagine that would be better for replacement, and leave the hub in better shape when they get worn?
Maybe for you....not for me...SS_MB-7

The Fuji was ~$500CDN, whereas, the Bianchi was ~$900CDN. I believe the KHS was ~$800CDN.
