I was wondering. Do the people that actually own cycling teams make any money? For example: US Postal is the sponsor, but Thomas Weisel Partners manages the team. Just curious! Thanks!

Cycling teams are a business. In a good year, they turn a profit, in a bad year they don't. Most sports team owners, from Thomas Weisel to John Henry (owner of the Red Sox) aren't in it for the money, and would prefer to run the teams at break-even.
