New bike, need advice on seat and color please.regulajo

I just had all of my components (Ultegra and Dure-ace mix) switched to this Trek OCLV frame, now I need a new seat for it and would like opinions on favorite seats and color choices. Right now I am leaning toward a Selle Italia Gel Flite in red or black.
Thanks.

I own one. Coolest looking yet most uncomfortable saddle I have ever owned. Put it on my mt. bike and had bruises on my sit bones for a week. OUCH!

the 50 cm version. did you buy it at Spin Cycle?

i've got a red saddle on mine but the make & type probably isn't going to help you much: it's the Serfa Arc Dual Density Pro women's version (& it's not made anymore). sorry i couldn't be more helpful on saddle suggestions, but the red looks good IMHO.

I love my Gel Flite.I recommend it to everyone.I'm not really crazy about red but it seems it might look ok on that bike. They do have a blue one also.

When in doubt, go with basic black. It will go with the next bike if you choose to keep it. Besides, who cares what color the saddle is since you'll be hiding it while sitting most of the time.

Wow! that's some stack of spacers. Maybe a record!

Seriously, I'd substitute some stem rise for 90% of those spacers. I'd also take the effort to work on the abs, back and flexibility to handle an 8-10cm bar to saddle height difference.

As for the saddle and bar tape, stick with black. Stays clean looking all season. I recommend the Selle San Marco Aspide in black, with the blue accent stitching.
omg, you're one of THEM!weiwentg

but the point is well made this time. too long a steerer - too much flex. get a riser stem.
