I rode this last year with a couple of people from my office and had a great time. It is a challenging ride for this "Flatlander". My co-workers and I decided to make it an annual event and try to recruit more people to go with us each year. Who from this board is going to be there?
I'll be there!4bykn

This will be my sixth Hilly. Where are you staying? I (and 3 others) will be camping. Looks like rain early Friday and nice all weekend.

I'll wave when I drive by (you are in Champaign-Urbana, right? I'm coming from Normal.) I expect to get there around 3pm.

Yes, I saw the weather. I'm probably going to get there about 6PM and I have a reservation at the Hampton Inn, great Chinese buffet next door. I do live in Urbana but will leave from my office which is in Kankakee. We will probably start Saturday about 9:00 AM. I'll be with three other riders from Chicago. Ill be on a Litespeed, two of the other riders, a Colnago C1 and a Pinerello. I'm not sure what the other rider will be on. Well at least there is one good bike out of the bunch.
I'll be there too!Cannon

I'm moving to my new digs this weekend. But I'll be thinking about y'all climbing thru those 5,000 upward feet. Mike, shoot me an email when you get back and let me know how the camping was this year? If they have it in the same field, did they at least dig up the roots?

Have fun!!
