|In 5 days from now I will be doing Cycle North Carolina 2002. I was wondering if I should take a week off after I come back from CNC2002? Or should I get back to training after CNC 2002? I have been riding for a 2 month in lieu of it|

|Assuming you're in good shape, I don't think you would need an entire week of rest, 2 or 3 days should be fine.
This is assuming standard muscle soreness. If you have neck pain, back pain, chafing, etc., take off as much time as you need to feel better.
Your body should tell you when it's time.
I think the most important thing when riding a multi-day event is to be extremely proactive with any problem you might have. If you have pain or chafing, take care of it immeditately! You also might think about a mineral supplement with potassium, magnesium, calcium, etc.

|Unless you will be going hard every day, you may not need any rest. If you come off the tour feeling all tired out, then a few days of recovery riding may put you in your best form of the season. You'll have to let your body be the guide, but this is not a week long race, so I doubt you'll be that worn out.|| |
