Are there any catches or little things I should know before ordering something from a place like Total Cycling?

Do I have to pay any customs fees, or is it just their price plus the shipping?

How long does it take? Does it differ by shop or is there a minimum amount of time it takes to get over here? 2 weeks, 2 days, 2 months?

Thank you.

... most of my orders from European vendors took about as long as a shipment across the continental US...

Giday Akirasho!
Enjoy looking at your posts, I am in absolute awe of your amazing bike collection . I just have a question regarding overseas mailorder. Recently I made a purchase from saddlesore.co.uk and the goods never arrived. My credit card was naturally billed straight away but a month down the track and I am still waiting. I emailed 4 times (no reply), I consistently called them only to hear a busy tone on the other end. Is there any course of action I can take to get back my money? Any feedback welcome.

your best resolution would be your credit card issuer...Akirasho

... I understand that the laws governing said, might vary from country to country, but in the States, you're not liable (in most cases) for goods and/or services not delivered if purchased on a card... as long as you report it (I'm unsure of the time frame... but it's probably from 30 to 60 days... anyone??) Probably time to read your agreement.

Have you posted on this board or done a search to see if others have had problems? I've received goods from Oz in far less than a month!

It seems anything that was ordered from saddlesore after August judging by the posts that I have seen has been delayed or not sent. I will probably do what you said and contact my credit company, it seems like the only option.
P.S Don't buy anything from these guys.
Cheers.

I'm in the process of disputing the charges with my credit card company.

They managed to get a hold of saddlesore through their bank. Citibank has a bit more leverage than I do.

Unbelievably, saddlesore is disputing my credit card company's claim. In other words, they are trying to keep the charges valid. (I ordered a wheelset in august and have not received them and been unable to contact the company in any way).

Them disputing my claim takes this to a new level of frustration. I hope you have better luck.

Definitely don't buy anything from these guys!!!
