some of the potholes here in NYC just get bigger and bigger ....

this hole is on my sprint run 200 yards from home. luckily it was raining and i was just crawling along ...... and you thought your roads were bad

as there was a lot of activity, news crews, blockade etc around it. was only upon comming back that i saw just how big it was as most by then had gone.

not sure of just when it happened but a lot of cyclists use that road. i would imagine using campy prevented me from heading out earlier as tullio is good like that and i certainly dont travel at a pace fast enough to "bunny hop" something that size.

A big pot hole opened up in a local street one night. It was bad enough that cars were flatting their tires from hitting it in the dark. The police came by and "phoned it in." Eventually one of our Aldermen came by. He stopped his car, got a shovel out of the trunk and filled the pot hole with gravel. He's won every election since!
