Thought this was worth passing along. Good advice with multiple suggestions and graphics depicting the common road riding accident senarios. The URL is even easy to remember. . .

It's amazing what a little common sense can do. Thanks for that link, js. Very good reading.

Their advice for reducing accidents through responsible and common sense cycling is helpfull. But after reading through their stories of actual accidents (http://bicycleaustin.com/justice/details.html) I came away with the impression that irresponsible motorists are 99% of the problem, and there are virtually no consequences for them when they break the law and injur a cyclist, damage their property or even take their life.

Still better safe(r) (and fingers crossed) than sorry.

Tom Churchill was a friend of mine (http://bicycleaustin.com/justice/details.html#churchill)
and nothing at all happened to his killer.

As a messenger I waas almost hit by all of those scenerios. Since then I take the lane whenever possible. It pisses drivers off but I think it's safer.

Good site.
