A question on speedplay pedals(4 posts)

A question on speedplay pedalsol

I have a question on speedplay pedal compatability with Sidi shoes. At the moment I am using Look pedals with Sidi shoes, if I change to speedplay will I need a new adapter plate for the speedplays? Feedback appreciated.
no, you will not need any adapter plate at allweiwentg

SPeedplays come with all the hardware needed to mount the cleats directly to a SIDI sole. no SIDI adapter plates needed.
to clarify, you won't need adaptors that you get from SIDI...Scot_Gore

Been here before. I could never figure how the shims were needed. There a single black hard plastic adapter that comes with the cleats along with the shims.

It's curved on one side, flat on the other. Place the curved edge against the sole of the shoe (should be matched curve since you were using LOOK) the other side is flat with holes to mount cleats.

Let me know if you see a need for those shims. I've got a pile of them.
