My friend and I were just emailing each other about that one! I was drooling over the picture for quite some time!
Very nice.

I'd hate to see how much it costs. I wonder if the old Campy parts are new old stock?
the parts are still available ... for a price :-) NmSpirito

Isn't it funny, after all the ovalized, oversized spacecraft zoomy materials, the thing that makes the heart beat fast is a track bike sporting toe clips and a panel paint job?

Spirito, Where I can get fenders like those? nmDave Hickey

i haven't seen any NOS bikini fenders for a while .....Spirito

but i have spotted a few messengers 'round town who had cut down chrome-plastic sks fenders such as rivendell sell. one guy had used ordinary garden shears and cut "batwing" ends on either side. his frame had no fender/rack eyelets and it doesnt keep much water off the bottom bracket or saddle at speed but its cool looking. as they are short and attached to the brake bridge and fork crown it looks neater than shaping full fenders to sit well and evenly spaced over the wheels.

you may be interested to know that ive started a little single speed build for around town - shoes first !!!

LOL, I thought the Merckx was the last bike for awhile! nmDave Hickey

if my secret other bike (english 3 speed) were just a little more racy/sexy/svelte then i wouldn't need for another but there are times when i want to zip around a little faster yet still be able to chain it up without stressing.

ive even freaked out when leaving the merckx at friends houses or a LBS whilst ive been running errands. there is no way i could chain it up even if in sight.

i have a few parts lying around that i could use .....
i hate taking the subway ........
ill always be able to sell it

yes .... my resolve is weakening but at least i tried. sheeeeeet ..... i cant even stay with the same woman for more than 2 months and at least im being honest wiith my 2 wheel fancy's in that ill love them but wont readily commit and be loyal to just one. akirasho, and others here are to blame.

dont make me feel guilty (voice of a proud man)..... if it costs me less than 300 all up it doesn't count as another bike does it ????? if i abort my project then you are buying my suntour BMX hubs (flip/flop - free/free) that im planning around as you got me juiced. i already have the special 15 tooth freewheel so if i slip a 16 tooth freewheel on the other side and respace/replace the rear axle it then i have perfect singlespeed gearing options with my 42 - 44 tooth chainring (yet to commit).

they just looked to cool to pass up and building wheels is like therapy for me.

ciao

p.s. is that enough excuses :-)
