Old school wheel technology?John445

I rode Spinergy RevX wheels for two years. I then swithed to Ksyriums for about 4 months. The K's were much stiffer and accelerated alot faster, a crisper feel. Last week I swithed my front wheel only back to the RevX. I find I am still getting the benefits of the stiffer, crisper feel but am also noticing a nice increase in cruising speeds over 20mph. I know RevX is yesterdays technology, but I really think this combination is working well for me. Is anyone else using this combo? Any other opinions on the RevX's?

Aerodynamics are making a huge difference here. The K's are semi aero but nearly as aero as a Spinergy, 4 spokes or 3 spoke. You actually have a good combo though because you get the advantages of the stiffness on your back wheel where most of your weight is and all of your power goes while having the front wheel for aerodynamics to cut through the wind.

Stick with it. One day, you will hit a pothole and have to throw away the Spinergy wheel. In the mean time, they certainly are much more aero than Ksyriums.
